Gas Powered Electricity Generation Plant

Woodenbales civil section have now completed the major scope of their works at the site in Dafen, Llanelli, on the civicls package of a new gas powered electricity generation plant. After initially setting up the site, excavating 1.5m deep of material including the crushing and replacement, supervision of piling activities and installing the buried drainage services Woodenbale went on to pour the 30m x 20m main slab comprising of reinforcement steel mesh and lose tied steel elements with 20no: cast-in holding down bolts sets for the steel super sructure and 5no: chimney stacks.

The slab also had an intergrated sump section with cast in cable ducts. Service trenchs were pulled to install water and BT lines including the installation of the gas main feed for the plant. Woodenbale have also been responsible for the installation of 8no: concrete bases of varying sizes to the periphery of the main slab, trenching works for the installation of cables in relation to the connection of the plant to the sub station on an adjacent plot and the crushing and landscaping of previously excavated material on the site. Minor works have followed including the grouting of steel stantion base plates and assisting in the foul connection to existing foul sewer. Woodenbales civil management team has also been responsible for site management of the project including the supervision of all ongoing sub-contractors works up until the mechanical handover. Whilst Woodenbales management team has taken a step back our presence continues on the project carrying out further works as required.
